Hamilate Roofcoat is a one component, UV stable, solvent based multi purpose roof coating membrane. It is manufactured with fibre reinforcement predispersed in the can for ease of use.
Intended Uses
The renovation of all types of roof structure.
Application
Hamilate Roofcoat is easily applied using a brush or roller. Treat all details first, in areas where excessive movement may occur additional reinforcement can be incorporated into the coating. Hamilate Roofcoat can be applied in one coat, but experience has shown that a two coat application ensures a greater uniformity of coating thickness.

Surface Preparation
Whilst minimal preparations are required, the
surface must be sound and free of loose or friable materials. To Obtain the best results remove all surface debris and surface water using a stiff broom. Repairs to cracks, holes etc. must be carried out prior to coating. Small cracks which are stable and less than 10mm can be treated by applying an additional coat of Hamilate Roofcoat.
Large cracks or suspect joints should be treated by embedding Corline mesh into the coating.
Large blisters in felt should be cut open, to allow any moisture trapped below the blister to dry. The felt can then be replaced by applying a coat of Hamilate Roofcoat into the blister and fixing the cut felt back into position. The felt can if required be fixed using galvanized clout nails. The repaired area can then be treated in the normal way with Hamilate Roofcoat. Fungus mould or lichens must be removed, additional protection against fungal spores can be achieved by applying Corline
wash fungicidal solution.
Priming
Most substrates do not require priming. However
if the surface to be treated is friable or porous a coat of Corline Roofprime may be necessary. It is therefore good practice to carry out adhesion tests prior to application of the coating. Corline Roofprime general purpose PU primer is suitable for most substrates, and is easily applied by brush or roller. For unusual or difficult substrates contact the technical Department for advice on alternative primers.
Coverage Rates .
Generally Hamilate Roofcoat should be applied to give a minimum film thickness of 1mm. Apply one
or two coats to achieve at least 1 Kg per square meter in normal roofing applications. Very rough surfaces may require up to 2.5 Kg per square M.
Safety precautions
A copy of the relevant MSDS must be consulted prior to use. Ensure safe working practices at all times. Generally avoid skin & eye contact by wearing gloves & goggles. Ensure good ventilation. If applied in confined areas use air-fed masks.
Store away from flames. Do not smoke or eat in
the vicinity of the work. Wash hands before
eating .Refer to supply container for additional warning labels.
